Pulp and paper products are an important

part of our lives and our economy.

Pulp and paper is a $4 billion industry in B.C. that provides jobs for 30,000 British Columbians. As a major economic engine for communities throughout the province, the pulp and paper sector contributes more than $600 million in revenues each year to all three levels of government.

Despite its importance to the provincial economy, B.C.’s pulp and paper sector is at a crossroads with respect to its future prospects.

The Pulp and Paper BC website has been developed as an online resource on the industry by the B.C. Pulp and Paper Task Force, an industry co-operative made up of representatives of all 20 pulp and paper mills located across the province.
